One of the most effective actions we can take is to stop buying gasoline. The oil industry spent over a billion dollars in the election and got Trump with a MAGA congress for the money. Half of that money came from people on the left. Americans spent $450 billion on gasoline last year. Half of that came from our side.
EVs are affordable to the masses now. They are superior to gas cars in every way and can be powered with clean renewable electricity.
Research which EV will work for your daily needs, figure out where you will charge it, then save up and get it done as quickly as possible.
Thank you for providing ideas and options we can do. Now is the time for action to match our words. I'm always glad to hear anyone clearly state the obvious. This is cruelty and we need to call it out and fight against it.
I am grateful we are stopping the obscene flow of money to grift, fraud and countries where we do not belong. We need to help our own citizens not convert Africans or Guatemala citizens into DEI experts. I am grateful we have stemmed the massive flow of immigrants and are no longer paying for luxury hotels, phones and cars for non-citizens. I am grateful our freedom of speech is returning. This is a big shake up; there will be pain. It is time to prune the dead and diseased wood from our government. Why not give this administration a chance? Instead of fighting it, work with the administration on issues we do care about. Why not be united on the changes helping the country?
Why didn't the past administrations or congress do this years ago? I don't see anyone else stepping up to the plate. If they had we wouldn't need a wreaking ball. I recently pruned my blueberries. Lots of beautiful tiny buds had to go to the compost pile. It is always a sad thing to see but every July I am grateful for the bounty thanks to the "sad" pruning. If I skipped this step or waited too long, the bushes would be weakened and produce less fruit.
In the past when Dems wanted to work on efficiencies, Republicans didn't want to help. They always seem to just want to obstruct things, make government look like it can't operate, then use that to try and take control the next election. Worked like a charm last time.

I think where we differ most is in the way things are being done - wholesale, without any thought as to the value of these programs or the work the people laid off are doing.
